Subject: RE: Little Arrows: Lyrics? From: Chris Clark Date: 08 Feb 98 - 10:19 PM I remeber those lyrics and ... Little arrows that will hit you once and hit you once again, Little arrows that hit everybody every now and then. Here they come flying out of the blue. Little arrows for me and for you. You're falling in love again. Your falling in love again... And then I can't remember where it goes from there. Sorry. I had the words at one time, but haven't been able to find them.

It's hard to tell until you're hit But you'll know it when they hit you 'cause they hurt a little bit Here they come pouring out of the blue.

Subject: Lyr Add: LITTLE ARROWS (from Leapy Lee) From: Date: 12 Feb 98 - 03:08 PM OK, I finally gave up and dug the old 45 out. Happy Valentine's Day! Little Arrows Hammond and Hazlewood as recorded by Leapy Lee on Decca 32380, produced by Gordon Mills, recorded in England There's a boy, a little boy, shooting arrows in the blue, and he's aiming them at someone, but the question is at who. Is it me, or is it you? It's hard to tell until you're hit, but you'll know it when they hit you, cause they hurt a little bit. CHORUS: Here they come, pouring out of the blue, Little arrows for me and for you. You're falling in love again, falling in love again. Little arrows in your clothing, little arrows in your hair. When you're in love, you'll find those little arrows everywhere. Little arrows that will hit you once, and hit you once again. Little arrows that hit everybody every now and then. Oooohhhhhhhhhhh, the pain!!!! Some folks run, and others hide, but there ain't nothin' they can do. And some folks put on armor, but the arrows go straight through. So you see there's no escape, So why not face it and admit, that you love those little arrows, when they hurt a little bit. Repeat chorus two times, then two times more starting with little arrows in your clothing, with a fade out. Sorry I cannot supply the funky music, voice breaks, falsettos, etc. There was an album followup too, but it was pretty much a one hit wonder. |
Subject: RE: Little Arrows: Lyrics? From: Rodney Rawlings Date: 12 Feb 98 - 07:19 PM "Pretty much a one hit wonder," and no wonder! Even the lyrics alone are appealing. Now how about someone helping ME with the Milko commercial? (See thread.) Rodney Rawlings Stop the Persecution of Bill Gates and Microsoft - Stop the Punishment of Success for Being Success |
Subject: RE: Little Arrows: Lyrics? From: GaryD Date: 25 Feb 98 - 11:20 PM Thank you SO much for those lyrics..Lolly & I are wallowing in memory lane. Sorry it took so long to get back to you, but have had some problems getting up here for a while. Hope your valentine's day was spent with your loved ones, too (& I don't mean your beloved recordings or instruments...) Take care! |
Subject: Lyr Add: LITTLE ARROWS (parody by Homer & Jethro) From: Jim Dixon Date: 10 Dec 03 - 11:56 PM Lyrics transcribed from the sound file at http://www.geocities.com/u2page5/ LITTLE ARROWS (As sung by Homer & Jethro) On a hill, seems to me, a million Indians I can see, An' they're shootin' little arrows at the Seventh Cavalry. General Custer was there but he didn't comprehend That it wasn't Cupid shootin' little arrows at his men. Here they come. Hear 'em hum like a bee, Little arrows fer you an' fer me. They hum just like hummin'birds. I guess they don't know the words. Little arrows, little arrows, little arrows in the air, In Indian country you'll find little arrows ev'rywhere. General Custer was surrounded by the Blackfoot and the Sioux, Not to mention the Apaches an' the Cleveland Indians, too. On a hill, way up there, I saw big chief Standin' Bear. Now at last he knew why they called General Custer Yeller Hair. Is it real? Is it fake? Is it phony? Is it pure? That's a little secret only his hairdresser knew fer sure. Here they come. Hear 'em hum like a bee, Little arrows fer you an' fer me. They hum just like hummin'birds. They still don't know any words. Little arrows, little arrows, little arrows in the air, In Indian country you'll find little arrows ev'rywhere. Though the general fought so bravely, one by one he lost his men. In his heart he knew those little darts would get him in the end. [Recorded by Homer & Jethro on "Homer & Jethro's Next Album," 1969; and "Assault the Rock & Roll Era," 1989.] |
