Subject: RE: Lyr Req: ned on the hill From: Brían Date: 12 Sep 01 - 04:43 PM Since the damage is done, I'll mention that the third version in the DT seems to be the closest to the Irish Language version. Brían |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: ned on the hill From: Malcolm Douglas Date: 12 Sep 01 - 04:38 PM "Who sings Lady..." is part of a line from Ned of the Hill. As a rule, the best way to find such things is via the "Digitrad and Forum Search" which can be seen on the main Forum Page.
The incorrect title suggests to me that Sussie may want the set recorded by Kate Rusby and Kathryn Roberts, who mistakenly gave it thus on their eponymous CD. A transcription can be seen here: Kate Rusby and Kathryn Roberts, and has probably also been posted in the Forum at some point.
I had rather hoped that nobody would post to the duplicate thread Sussie accidentally started at the same time as this one, but it's been done now. More stuff to search through next time... |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: ned on the hill From: Jim Dixon Date: 12 Sep 01 - 04:02 PM There are at least three versions of "Ned of the Hill" (not on) in DigiTrad. To find them, put [Ned of the Hill] - in brackets - in the DigiTrad Lyrics Search box and click "Go." |
