Just a note to say that I have spoken to Steve Suffet tonight and I just received an email from Evy Mayer. The Pinewoods Folk Concert in Brooklyn will be going forward as planned on 9/14 at 8 PM. The information on this concert is here

I plan on focusing on songs appropriate for the tragic happenings of the past few days. I am hoping that folks come out to join us in song. Singing is the most healing thing that I do for myself when I am troubled and I hope that in Brooklyn this Friday night we can come together as a group and find solace and comfort in the music that brings us together here on the Mudcat.

I will be donating my fee from that performance to a victim's relief fund, either the United Way of New York or The Red Cross.

Well if it's 9/14 instead of 9/17 Deb, I think you're going backward and not forward...........but in this case you may also have been visited by an elf or something since your original post SAYS 9/14!!! Whatever, I'm sorry I cannot be there as I'm sure your concert will be superb.

Awwww, thanks Catspaw49. Maybe I am just still stunned from all the horror at the recent events. As of tomorrow, I am still not sure what will transpire...I am changing my original plan and getting a set list together of very different material.

I am also hoping that folks who come to Brooklyn tomorrow night will offer up any songs that they might have and we can all sing together.

After all, being together and supporting each other is the most important thing right now.
