Jim - These are hard times for all of us. These threads are the only place some us have to vent. Your posts up to now (some of us do read them) have been informative and humorous. I can only assume that this week's nightmare and the diverse reactions posted are behind your decision to leave. Take a break, give yourself some time, and then come back when you are ready. You will always be welcome here.

I just went back and read some of Jim Cheydi's previous posts, and I see that they were mostly to music threads, ALWAYS to non-political threads, and ALWAYS completely polite and inoffensive. There was no reason to treat him with abuse.

I don't know what offended him. Maybe he's been lurking in some of the troll threads. Maybe YOU THREE have been indulging in flinging insults for so long that it now seems normal to you. It is not. I suggest you go lurk in some music threads for a while until you remember what Mudcat is supposed to be about.

Please, everyone, don't judge this person or anyone else who says this sort of thing. It does not help them or Mudcat or yourself to do it, and it makes it harder all the way around.
