Gordon Bok does a song of Kiplings poem the Sea Wife. Does anyone know the chords? I've heard it but once at Old Songs in 1984 and recorded it. (Gasp!!!) but again the chords elude me. Any help?

Don

Hi - I love this song! I alternate between A minor and G, hammering On and off for the A minor

(Am)There dwells a wife at the northern gate
And a (G) wealthy wife is she
(Am)She breeds a breed of (G) rovin' (Am)men
And sends them (G)over the (Am)sea
And (G) some are drowned in the (Am) deep water
And (C) some in sight of (E)shore
And the (Am) word goes back to the (G)weary wife
And (Am)ever (G)she sends (Am)more

Hope this helps! -Cath

Gordon uses a few chords that dont seem to be on any guitar I've ever played! I'll ask him, and post his answer.

Thanks alot all.

Cathy, I'll try these chords when I get home. I like the song too. Its one of Kiplings best poems.

Thanks Kendall, I felt lost from the get go when I tried to figure this out. Tell Gordon its for me, he may remember me from years gone by.

Don
