Tune Req: bluegrass songs kids can sing

my 11 year old son wants to sing more bluegrass songs, but other than gospels most of the lyrics are not appropriate for a kid to sing. he does "jimmy brown the newsboy" now....any ideas for other songs?

OK, these are more old-timey than BG, but it's a start....

Also, feel free to adapt lyrics-- they were often sung thisaway or thataway when first created, so why not?

guest I am missing something. When you say that "most of the lyrics are not appropriate for a kid to sing" what are some of the songs you are thinking of specifically?
I am hard-pressed to think of any bluegrass songs with lyrics that I would call objectionable.
But anyway, How about
