To respond to the seventh post:

the Sean Penn project to date has not materialized, although Penn did speak of it publicly.

Director Kenneth Bowser released something called
"Phil Ochs: There But for Fortune"
in 2011.

According to the liner notes on the first album, when Phil heard of the killing of Medgar Evers, he said, "Oh, God, no, we've already got too many martyrs."
