It looks like I will have the opportunity through work to visit Tasmania to our sister factory end of October early November. I'm owed somedays holidays so I'm thinking of taking these in Sydney (3 days) and Melbourne ( 2 days) What should I pack in to these days, contacts, cheap hotels ?

forget about cheap hotels in Sydney, Robin, anyone from home is welcome to stay here, (me being from Belfast.. *grin*)

3 days isn't much time ... but you probably want to do the touristy things, bridge, opera house, the rocks etc... I recommend a day in the blue Mountains if you have the time.........

And make sure it coincides with a Friday night so you can come and share a song with us at the Shannon Hotel in Chippendale!

Of course, if you were there on a 2nd or 4th Friday night, you would be going off to the Toongabbie Music Club with Alison ... It's a bit further down to the Shannon but a good session as well.
