Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Fortunato Date: 22 Oct 01 - 12:28 PM Thanks to all of you who came and those who wished us well. It was a great night. I got to hear Barry Finn sing for the first time, a mighty voice. Micca sang us his new song! Dispite being up well into his second day, and a few ciders to the goood, Micca sprang up on Friday morning fit as a fiddle and ready to play. Thanks all. best regards, Chance |

Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Fortunato Date: 17 Oct 01 - 01:03 PM Just to dispel the rumor. While Camp Ramblewood may at times be a clothing optional situation, the Royal Mile is not. In fact, the management insists that everyone remain fully clothed at all times. This is particular true for Micca's singaround. Bill D. this means you. |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Susan-Marie Date: 16 Oct 01 - 10:29 AM I hope to be there too - been off Mudcat for a while but the Royal Mile is only a few miles from home so who could resist? Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: GUEST,Celtic Soul Date: 16 Oct 01 - 10:06 AM OOO OOO OOOOOO!!! Count me in! I'll be there, a capella, but I'll be there (unless I can convince the guitarist from my group to show too). Can't wait to meet some of you lot, especially those that it would be otherwise hard to run across on the street. It's a long walk from DC to London! :D Mrrzy? You coming? |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Fortunato Date: 16 Oct 01 - 09:33 AM So Micca, there's a cider made in Vermont called Woodchuck. They have a tart apple up there called the Granny Smith. The cider they make from it has only 11g of sugar in 355ml. Which much lower that any cider I can find. If you think you might like that we can get some for the getaway. I can't afford to lose anymore brain cells, thank you very much, I'm running at half speed already. Oh, sorry about the dance of the virgins, we haven't been able to certify anyone. |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Wotcha Date: 15 Oct 01 - 10:24 PM Micca: Merrydown ... you put the brain cells right back ... Still, bloody awful -- especially if you quaff 2 liters of the stuff in 45 minutes ... Cheers, Or as Billy Connolly used to say ... "Ralph" Brian |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Micca Date: 15 Oct 01 - 08:05 PM Do you mean Merrydown??? by any chance?? anothe innocous looking stuff, that acts like that scene in 2001 , a Space Oddyssey where Keir Dullea step by step removes the functions from HALS Brain!!!! |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Wotcha Date: 15 Oct 01 - 07:50 PM As long as it isn't Merrivale Cider -- I remember (or rather have a blurry memory of) an annual rite our touring rugby team performed at the behest of the Edingburgh Wanderers RFC ... Still painful after 10 years ... Cheers, Brian |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Fortunato Date: 15 Oct 01 - 04:13 PM Oh well, the pub owner ordered a case hoping it would replace the Strongbow he couldn't get for you. Surely SOMEONE will drink the stuff. We must have a few 'ylwadw' (young looneys with a death wish) in Wheaton. Get some rest old chum. We want you fully charged for the Getaway! |
Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Micca Date: 15 Oct 01 - 03:49 PM I am, actually totally Cream Crackered Chance...but your suggestion of " Snake Bite"!!!!!! are You MAD!!!!!!!??? have you ever tried Snake bite???? IT is BLOOODY LETHAL and only drununk by young looneys with a death wish!!!! , dont fret, anything will do, or Local beer if necessary, many will tell you that if iot matches the TWO criteria ,I will drink it. 1 is it wet???? 2 is it alcoholic??? |

Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Fortunato Date: 14 Oct 01 - 06:17 PM Well, I was just up at the 'Mile, checking on prepartions. The red carpet is in, and the the rose petals and baskets are ready, however there appears to be a lack of virgins to strew them at Micca's feet as he enters. We had a lady who danced the "Flight of the Virgin", but apparently she performs it from memory. Any volunteers? |

Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Barry Finn Date: 09 Oct 01 - 05:17 PM I think I may be able to swing leaving Thrusday AM to make this, might as well I'll be hitting the Getaway anyway, what a great excuse, I think that the boss would go for it, just have to work on an ok from the wife & kids. I can always camp in the truck but a spot on someone's floor wouldn't be thought as to underneath me(hint?). Barry |

Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: alanww Date: 04 Oct 01 - 12:54 PM Noreen - I don't think we will ever convert Dinosaur Derek to the Mudcat community and, while we are speaking for him, why does he need to bother? Still he's going to the US and not me, so he can't be doing too bad, can he?! I hope both Micca and Derek enjoy the gathering! "I thought I heard the old man say ...!" |

Subject: RE: MICCA'S SINGAROUND ROYAL MILE 10/18/01 From: Noreen Date: 02 Oct 01 - 06:40 PM Yes, Chance, 'tis so, and a great bunch of people we are too for Derek to have brought together. I told Dinosaur Derek this evening that he's got a mention on the Mudcat, and he was predictably underwhelmed... we'll convert him yet! :0) Noreen |
