I have the music, but alas, I have no scanner. If you are really wanting the music, I can send you a copy via snail mail. Good ole' Mr. Welk is still playing on my local public tv station, you might check with yours.
Meanwhile, here's what I can do you in text, I hope it's not too torn apart in the transmitting of this email:

         ADIOS, AU REVOIR, AUF WIEDERSEHN

Lyric by Jack Elliott Music by George Cates, ©1969.

G B7 C E7/B Am
Good night, good night until we meet a- gain

D7 D7sus4 Gmaj7 G
Adi--os, au revoir, auf wiedersehn 'til then.

Bm7-5 E7 Am
And 'though it's always sweet sorrow to part,

A7 D7
You know you'll always remain in my heart.

G B7 C E7/b Am
Good night, sleep tight, and pleasant dreams to you

D7 D11 Gmaj7 G
Here's a wish and a prayer that ev'ry dream comes true

Bm7-5 E7 Am Cm6/Eb bass
And now 'til we meet a gain------

G/Dbass D11 D7 G (tacet)
Adios, au revoir, auf wiedersehn. GOOD NIGHT!

Thanks for the info. I do have the show on my local PBS station and that is what prompted the question. Something I've wondered about. Thanks again.

I got an e-mail from somebody, asking for sheet music for this. I found a fakebook entry with melody and chords, but no formal sheet music. Anybody know where somebody can buy sheet music for this song? The lyricist couldn't be the folk music Jack Elliott, right?

ADIOS, AU REVOIR, AUF WIEDERSEHEN
(Lyrics by Jack Elliott; Music by George Cates)

Good night, good night until we meet again
Adios, au revoir, auf wiedersehen 'til then
And though it's always sweet sorrow to part

And now 'til we meet again

Good Night!

Can anyone email me music with at least a melody line and chords? I don't necessarily need the piano score. Send to tstone6551@msn.com.

Thank you!

I, too, am looking for Adios Au Revoir Auf Wiedersehn. I need it for an elementary school choir/orchestra/Orff instruments concert during this spring semester. I've looked everywhere for this song. Any ideas, anyone? I'll willing to purchase, but just cannot find it. Looking for piano/voice score. Thanks. Email to dannyrjones@gmail.com.

The TV show was a sing-along so it's in just about every Welk songbook. Try your local public library. Hal Leonard has it (of course.)

"Jack Elliot" btw, is not the folkie. It's the Vaudeville-Hollywood movie songwriter John M. Elliot.

is the sheet music for the Farewell Song still available? I know of a group of seniors in Columbus, IN that want to include this song at the end of their Spring Show -- they don't need the lyrics, just the music so a pianist can play it for them. Many thanks in advance!
