Subject: RE: help!NYC areaM'Cats From: InOBU Date: 03 Oct 01 - 07:16 AM Wellllllll..... I gotta say, I am still a little anoyed at the Green Party for their role in handing a rather important election to the least qualified individual in the history of that office. In fact, politics is about creating blocks of political power, not erroding the other guys power. This is why, Clinton, who politcaly I had a lot of problems with, was such a successful pres. He worked with the other guy. The Green party, in villanizing the likes of me, for saying, after making the point of your power in the democratic party, swing that power in such a way as to aid progressive causes. As a result, the Green party is directly responsible for the exploitation of Alaska that will now happen. I happen to spend a lot of time and engery in the far north east, trying to help save a vital and delicate eccosystem, and the so called Green Party has handed the riens of power to those who will help complete the job of destroying Nitassinan's people and land. I hope in the future, the Green party will begin to stop the reactionary rehetoric and really act responcibly towards change. I realize that after the destruction of Austo/Marxists by Stalin and Lennin, that to say such things in the spirit of pointing out misstakes to folks who should well be alies in this struggle, is inviting them to savage you and call you a liberal and flunky, but, well, it is the single minded fundamentalist attitude all round that I believe makes me convinced we are damned. Well Kat, thanks for thoughts, but there we are... Hope things get better and we really work to build a strong popular front politic, remember in France and Spain that only happended when the left worked with the liberals, as fuzzy headed as they are... I need my morning coffee Cheers, Salud, No Passaran Your sin the One Big Union Larry (InOBU) |

Subject: RE: help!NYC areaM'Cats From: InOBU Date: 04 Oct 01 - 05:57 AM My dear friend Theosp: There is not a short answer... so I would have to say maybe, even possibly, more than likely yes, but I am conflicted to the point of deep second thoughts, not a good way to support a political party. So drop me a personal note on the cat, or email me at Inobu@aol.com and lets disscuss it, for example, Freddy Ferrar has taken some very strong stands against the mainstream in his party and certainly against Guilani's elect me king suggestions, showing real substance and courage, demanding, for example that all public schools in the state should be equally funded or we are allowing the robbing of children. Now, the reality is he has a hard job ahead to win but has more a chance of a marginalized third party which once again is in the possition of being a spoiler and putting a plutocrate in office. So, as long as this party continues to act, not as a responcible arm of progressive politics, but as a facilitator of the right, well, I have to reserve my support. It is hard as we are on the same page. All the very best, In solidarity Larry |
