Subject: Announcing new online folklore magazine
From: GUEST,Roo
Date: 03 Oct 01 - 02:26 AM

A small group of us has been working on a new bi-monthly online magazine which wilhas been launched this week. It is called "SIMPLY AUSTRALIA".

Australia has a rich heritage and this is reflected in its folklore, its oral and social history as well as its music and song, both traditional and contemporary. Simply Australia aims to cover these through articles, music, poetry and yarns. As more issues go online and past issues are archived, then we will start to group the articles etc in themes to create a valuable resource.

You can see the first issue of Simply Australia at:
http://simplyaustralia.mountaintracks.com.au/

Details of how to contribute and what we are looking for are on the site.

Hope you like it
Valda (for the Simply Australia crew) ________________________________________________________

I hope you enjoy it! We've already had some good feedback so it seems there is a need for it, which is good.

Here's more about Alistair Campbell, including his past exploits in the porn industry (which is true - not one of those made-up internet things).

Is that Alistair Campell, Tony Blair's friend?

Thanks everyone for the good wishes. If anyone listens to the sound I'd appreciate feedback as to whether it works or not. If the player doesn't show up I'll have to rethink the way it is presented. I appreciate your help! Valda

It seems that some strange type of spam (?)
got this thread up.
So while it's here
here is an updated URL for Simply Australia
It's an interesting online folklore magazine
and I'm happy to have found it.

Cheers, S. in Seattle
