I'm one of those "vocal" people y'know - can't do the chord thing, cause I only got the one throat.

Appreciate the help Jeff - I'd make an attempt myself - but my only method is trial and error on the computer with a playback after each and every note - takes me a couple weeks to do a tune - and is usually pretty rough even after that.

Dragged up in Halifax, I was weaned on Websters and I would not recommend it to anyone! Whenever I could, I would dring Theakstons or Timothy Taylor (now there's a great beer!). Now exiled in the wilds of Kent, I exist on Shepherds Neame, brewed in Faversham - not a bad drop once you get the taste...

I can probably do an ABC with chords. I'm a Mac person, so I don't do NWC. I'm sure somebody can do a conversion for all you others. Hopefully, I can catch up with him this weekend.

To drif off the topic... I would agree that the Joshua Tetley is a better brew than the Tetley-Walker (I take it they are both still brewed) but I find both too bland for my own taste.

Living in Norfolk, I find the Woodefordes beers interesting but I think a bit of an acquired taste. County wise, Sulfolk would get my vote at the moment for Adnams Broadside.

Not thread creep - True story about Yorkshire beer!!!

Accountants at Tetley were looking for cost savings and did a financial analysis of the benefit of moving the brewery out of town and selling the valuable brewery site.

Unfortunately they had made no allowance for relocating the well under the brewery which supplied the water to give Tetley its superb bitter taste! The brewery is still in same location.

Tetley also brew in Warrington on other side of Pennines with Warrington water and the beer is no where near as good as Yorkshire Tetleys. Still - being on wrong side of Pennines means it is mainly drunk by non Yorkshire people!! Cheers Geordie Broon

Yes, it was written by Peter. I've wondered about the Tetley name myself. I suspect it's poetic licence to make it fit the rhythm. BTW, for Maryland Mudcatters, Peter plays frequently at the Last Chance Saloon in Columbia. He does a very nice audience-friendly show.
