Well folks got here safely despite having sat in some chewing gum on the train - a case of 'Arriva Dirty Roamer' (much be the sea air). It's not raining that's the good news. The bad news is that there appears to be no programmes on sale at all. Apparetly the Pier were only ever given 2! Shall return to Tourist info to see if I can get one there. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Michael I shall look for you in the Endeavour, chatting up ROse, later on.

Tomorrow I shall be on the 07:15 train out of Swansea High Street. ETA Whitby ? Staying at the Pier again. The place isn't the same without the lovely Vickie, so looks as though I'll have to cross the river to see the lovely Rose instead.
See you soon

Mike

Ali, Captain Cook Festival is the earlier thread, with the conventional spelling of his name... :0)

(Click trace by the thread title in the thread list to get it saved to your personal page so you'll never lose it again!)

Thanks for the information, I'll see you all there. Errr... where's the Pavilion? I know where the bandstand is, will that do? And it's near the chippy...aaah, Whitby fish and chips....

Noreen

You sound more organised than Richard Grainger has been for years. I'm not a Shellback but shall be in the Endeavour on Friday so hope to meet you.

i can't find the original thread that I posted on the Captain Cook Festival, so I've had to start a new one! For any Shellbacks out there, we're meeting Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in the Pavilion. Geoff and i will be at the Endeavour on Friday evening. We're doing 4 "spots", 2 on Saturday, both in the Pavilion, and 2 on Sunday. We've still no times! see you all there.
