I'm trying to find photographs and some history about Ina Wood, the union organizer who was the subject of Woody Guthrie's "Union Maid". All I can find is that it was her, but not much about her, and certainly no pics.

Any ideas anyone??

Thanks. Katy

I suppose we don't know if this was her married name or her maiden name. If it were the latter, a search at classmates.com might bring some interesting results.

You might have some luck at the George Meany Center, the AFL-CIO Archives in Silver Spring, MD. I believe Linda deLoache is in charge of the photo archives there and her phone number is 301 431 4351.

God luck. I had never kown that there was an individual who had inspired "Union MAid".

Sourdough
