Subject: RE: BS: In praise of the A361 From: Skipjack K8 Date: 01 Nov 01 - 06:36 AM Not when the polis hide on the tops of the hills, Kit! I done bin booked in about every county now. I've managed to clip me own wings, though, as I blew up the engine on Alfa recently. I did a whole 10,000 miles without oil (company car, no oil required) and burnt up the engine. Got a previously enjoyed recon one swung in, and got the jallopy back this Monday. Already put 730 miles on the new engine, but at running in speed! Skipjack |
Subject: RE: BS: In praise of the A361 From: Noreen Date: 01 Nov 01 - 08:56 AM Running in speed for an Alfa engine is less than 100mph then, Skippy? :0) Poor you... Mind you, I picked up my *new* (previously enjoyed) car last Thursday and it had 450 miles more on the clock by Sunday- drove coast to coast Formby-Whitby and back home. Think it'll be ok- but it's not my poor written-off White Rover (*sniff*). (singing: Noreen |

Subject: RE: BS: In praise of the A361 From: The_one_and_only_Dai Date: 02 Nov 01 - 04:48 AM I thought this thread was such a good idea for a song challenge, that I thought I'd throw this list of places the A361 passes through into the ring. So, can we have a ballad form lyric, please, with a brief couplet of praise for the vurtues and history of each? tee hee Daventry Badby Charwelton Byfield Chipping Warden Wardington Grimsbury Banbury Bloxham South Newington (Mason's Arms!)
