Dont know of any in that area, but, there is a top quality one in Portland, 60 miles away. Buckdancers Choice, St. John St. They get ALL of my business.

I would go along with Kendall in recommending Buckdancer's Choice.

My favorite guitar place is the "Vintage Fret Shop" in Ashland, NH; but that's probably a good 3 hour hike from Augusta.

http://www.vintagefret.com/pages/acoustics.html

I know there is a music shop on the road out to Winthrop where Daughter Shearon lives - in Manchester, I think - but have yet to stop and check it out.

There are at least 4 good Music Shops in Brunswick ME, from one of which I purchaced Shearon's guitar as a Christmas gift some years back and we have been quite pleased with it, and I think we got a good deal as well.

I would think that Naemanson who lives in Bath might have a better insight as to what's available up that way. Must be something.
