A rare treat! There's shanty singing in New Orleans this weekend (Sunday, 11/4) at O'Flaherty's 514 Toulouse Street 504-529-1317 in the French Quarter. Geoff Kaufman, Mystic's leading shantyman, will be the feature set. Shamelessly, Ship'scat will open.

Come on out at 8PM for a modest ($10) cover and support singing TOGETHER in the Big Easy

The (almost) regular First Friday (11/2) Comhaltas monthly sing will serve as a warmup for Sunday and will be held at Mick's Irish Pub 4801 Bienville Avenue (at Bernadotte), 482-9113 also around 8

Shanties on the airwaves! Ship'scat will be a guest on Tulane's WTUL (91.5FM) "Folk" show between 11AM and 1PM. We'll chat, sing and play shanties and sea music.

The station says with their new antenna, they can be heard as far away as Belle Chasse and Chalmette. Keep those shrimp boots stompin'!
