OK, I got a Cheyenne phone book, I'll see what is listed that I can call. I am not limited to Wyo, but kat seems to be. I just don't really want to drive thru Denver proper by myself. I usually get nervous at 104th ST.

EJ just gave me the heads up on what's happening here. One thing I want to point out is that it was astonishing that we all were free this Sunday. How often is that going to happen? Come on, folks. Lets try to make this work. EJ suggested maybe a "folk friendly" bar? Or maybe a coffeehouse in Cheyenne? Hey, we'd be happy to see you all somewhere's around Colorado but it seems that Sorcha and Kat have to stay up in Wyoming. Well if Bert is willing to go that far, so are we. But try to keep it to around Cheyenne. Pretty please?

PLAN 1 IS BUSTED. They will be out of town. Resort to Plan B. Meeting rooms at Little America are expensive, I think. If all else fails, my place in Torrington is available, if the Colo people want to drive that far.......my plan B went bust also.

Sunday evening in Cheyenne seems workable for me. I'm trying to fit in with family arrangements and they seem to have something scheduled for just about every day , but I can escape Sunday evening.

I'll talk to them about going to see Seamus next week. I might be able to talk them into a family outing.

Nice little venue, Seamus. I have had the odd jar there when in town on business. You might also check out John Nallons in the warehouse district near Coors Field. Could be a gig in it. I believe they are Cork people.

Is there anyway we could all meet in Cheyenne for a day and/or night of it? It doesn't look as though going all the way down to the Springs is going to be doable for us, but we could probably manage a meet in Cheyenne; it's 3 hours one way from here. Not sure how far it is for the rest of you, except Sorcha. I know we could find a place that'd let us have some fun.

Yes, that instant-effect Bert has is amazing. It radiates even beyond his person.

When we had our gathering here in April, I knew somehow that Bert had arrived while Hardi and I and Pete Peterson and Burke were off doing the Saturday Night Service. I am not normally so forward, in person, but I could FEEL that he was HERE and I became a heat-seeking missile. I came tearing into the house yelling, "WHERE'S MY BERT!?!?!"

He was actually just around a corner leaning on that corner of the wall, and sort of half-stepped around into a hug I had been saving for... well forever! And he WAS my Bert! (And everyone else's!)

I spent many happy moments just curled up near him as the rest of the weekend unrolled-- with Bert one can talk, or not, and he's just as THERE. Sigh.... I love that Bert! (As a friend, a brother, a pal.)

I wish I was in Colorado Springs myself just thinking about it. *G* Hm, road trip? Can't.

Bert, tell Tree, we are going to have a very small mini-Gathering here this winter for couples only-- get snowed in, etc. Private rooms for each couple. Beds, a hammock, down comforters, candles, piney boughs, recliners, cider, fireplace, Tullamore Dew, nice and cushy. You two MUST come. So tell Tree to start getting ready to come, will you? I'll hold off setting the date till we hear from you.

Wish that damn Catspaw would come too. I mean, he's hard to take, but I hear Karen and the boys are really nice.

You'll notice that Bert and Tre (from Pennsylvania) stopped at my place (in Ohio) late last night. From this you can deduce that they are indeed on the road.

Next, I also mentioned you along with Leej, Sorcha and kat, as being people to be looking for a hook-up and some of them had previously posted to that effect.

What you could not know was that your name came up at my kitchen table as being one of the ones they'd like to see. Why I am posting this is a mystery even to me as I can see from the evidence that: 1)You are not reading the other posts in the thread or, 2)Your brain needs reset and not your cookie. Perhaps you are in need of a stay at the Neil Young Center for the Terminally Screwed. I will send the Insanevac chopper to transport you there immediately if you agree. We live in La Veta, about two hours southwest of Colorado Springs, and I guarantee a most entertaining and rewarding side trip. Or I could come to the Springs. So I go out with the kids and sell popcorn for the Cub Scouts this morning and when I get back I see a boatload of calls listed as unavailable and I figure I have missed Bert. Time passes and as the afternoon becomes evening I realize I've once again blown it and missed my shot at meeting someone who I have come love here on the 'Cat.

Now it's 9:15 and the kids are asleep in front of the boob tube and Tristan comes up and trys to tell me something which I finally realize is that someone is at the door. AND IT'S BERT!!!!!!!!!!!

They just left and it was far too short. They may be able to stop on the way home and I certainly hope so. Fine folks! Karen will be here and maybe we can do a meal and some music and whatever. Time tonight was just flat not enough!!!!

Bert and Tre are expecting to see some of you in Colorado and I want some reports here. Also pass along my best and some encouragement to stop back!!! So kat, Sorch, Leej, Blue Jay try to work something out. Didja' ever meet somebody and immediately felt, this is a really great guy? That's Bert. I've come to know him well here at the 'Cat and that same guy is even better in 3-D. He and Tre are just great.
