Mudcat starts in its new home at Max's place, in an historic building no less. Nice thought, that, of the Mudcat, which makes such history of its own, being housed in such.

Had a fantastic Friday night at a concert by my fav. trad band from Montana, actually a couple, Willson and McKee. Some of you have heard me sing their songs in Paltalk, esp. the "Pattern" about the fisherman's knitted sweater pattern telling which family they came from when lost at sea.

These two just keep getting better and better. Did a lot of trad, but also some great new stuff of their own. Kim played two lap dulcimers, was wicked as usual on her hammer dulcimer and they both had a great time playing a graphite guitar from Hawaii, which they are seriously considering switching to all the time for performances and keeping the Martin for recording only, as the graphite never goes out of tune from heat, cold, etc. Kim also played a beautiful folk harp and bohdran and Ken showed his love, once again, for the Irish bouzuiki. They've got some great new stuff which will be on their new CD coming out in about ten days.

They're headed your way, Sorcha, on Sunday, will be in Cheyenne, tomorrow. Lovely way to end an evening and start a new day with their songs and talent in my mind and heart.

As they say on Mtn. Stage, "go out and hear some live music, tonight!"

Thanks,

kat

Thanks, Kat...the site you've given looks interesting and I'll be checking it out when I've got more time.
I'm not quite sure what our previous "guest" meant by their little outburst ( ah, me...these quaint American sayings...).
All the best, Katlaughing...it was nice to hear from you...
Harry.

It's the complete truth, kat. In the words of a famous guy I won't mention around here: "Live music are better."
