I have been using Noteworthy Composer for about 6 months and have never had a problem till now.
Suddenly I am unable to hear the music when I click on "play".
The cursor moves along but there is no sound ..... any ideas??? I would be very grateful if I could get this fixed

okay - your computer thinks it is playing, no error messages or such; that is good.

in your volume controls of your desktop there should be a "synthesizer" section. make sure that is enabled and turned up.

I had this problem when I switched versions of Noteworthy. I think I solved it by going into the staff properties menu and doing something in either playback instrument or midi - can't remember which. Good luck.

I found that NWC and TablEdit don't get on together: whichever one you load first stops the other one playing. You may have something competeing for the midi player.

Oops! Premature submit ...

"Devices used by Playback".

When I encountered this problem switching the options until these were reselected seemed to to the trick.

Good luck,

Thanks Bob and everyone ... thats what I did . It was Midi Mapper that was causing the problem ... as soon as I moved it out of the "Devices Used" section the programme worked perfectly again.
I use this programme all the time and was lost without it.
