Just thought I'd point out that Narmour & Smith's entire recorded repertoire has recently been reissued by Document Records .

Mississippi String Bands Volume 1 & 2 Traditional Fiddle Music Of Mississippi ~~ County 3513 and 3514

Narmour and Smith do two tunes on Volume 1, Sweet Milk & Peaches and Avalon Quickstep and four on Volume 2, Carroll County Blues, Charleston #1, Captain George, Has Your Money Come, and Mississippi Breakdown. There are 20 cuts on each album, and to choose one over the other would be a difficult choice for me. Obviously, if you are mostly interested in Narmour and Smith, then I would suggest Volume 2. If in doubt, get both, you won't be sorry. (opinion)

Where may I find any recordings by Willie Narmour/ Shell Smith? Their famous composition was "Carroll County Blues". Thery were responsible for turning a talent scout on to Mississippi John Hurt in the '20's.

Any help out there?
