Subject: RE: Tune Req: Rise Up Jock From: catspaw49 Date: 13 Nov 01 - 10:35 AM Mario? You work it up at the office? Hmmm...Doesn't sound like the firewall works all that well if you can get to those sites. I am also a bit surprised you wear a jock to the office. Must be some real infighting in that place. Spaw.....Sorry, I just can't seem to resist this one. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Rise Up Jock From: Tom French Date: 14 Nov 01 - 11:27 PM Rise Up Jock was performed on Nowell Sing We Clear by John Roberts and Tony Barrand. It remains on the CD; The Best of Nowell Sing We Clear (Vols 1,2,& 3) I don't know if the written version exists in the US, but the original song was composed in England by Bob Pegg and I believe that it appeard in English Dance and Song. If you are still stuck for the tune I could write it out from my head. Let me know if you need it, and how much detail: harmony, etc. I work with Sibelius. I used to sing the tune with the Morris Team back in the early 80's. The song is essentially musical rendition of the classic central plot of a mummer's play. |
