A Mudcat search for "doon love" brings up this (click). Here's a Google Search Link (click).

Joe you are the Wizard, wish some one would teach me how to do blue clickies, I ask my boys and they just laugh and walk away.

Hi, Don - Standard Clicky Instructions:

<a href="http://www.mudcat.org">Click here</a>

<a href="mailto:joe@mudcat.org">Click to e-mail</a>

If you're posting links at Mudcat, the quotation marks are optional. I prefer not to use them, because they complicate the task of making links. Simple is better, I think. Fewer misteaks.

I find it's best to open a new browser window [CTRL-N] and navigate your way to the site you want to link to. Highlight and copy [CTRL-C] the URL (address) of the site, and then go back to your Mudcat message and paste [CTRL-V] the URL into your link. Be sure to include the http:// in that URL. The quotation marks are standard procedure, but most links work just fine without quotation marks.

Don, I was just joking about the red letters btw. When you have mastered the art of the blueclicky you are going to wonder what all the fuss was about.

In the first of Joe's examples ;

the black type is what you copy into your message to actually make the blue clicke thing (blickie). Many people find it convenient to keep a text copy of this handy to cut and paste - filling in the appropriate spots as needed.

The red type is the url/web address you cut and paste from where you want your blickie to lead to... substituting it for the red type in the example. the blue type is what is going to be visible. You can cut and paste from the example if all you want is "click here" or you can substitute whatever you want.

One thing to remember is never to copy and paste a URL beginning with WWW. It has to have the full http://www. in the address. Otherwise it shows as a blue clicky when you post it, but will just link back to Mudcat. But you will make this mistake only once, if at all.

...and that should be a good hint for you, Marymac.
Once you've visited a link, it turns color so you'll know you've been there already.
When a link is cleared from your browser's "history," it turns blue again.
