Subject: A good place to eat Thanksgiving dinner.

Here's where I plan to be on Thursday: the La Crosse [Wisconsin] Community Thanksgiving Dinner. No, I'm not going there to play music or to serve; I'm just going to eat with my family and whoever else is there. Never been there before, but what I've heard sounds intriguing. It sounds like one of those church-basement type things that, in some communities, is put on for the poor, but in La Crosse, for some reason, the tradition has been established that anyone can go, poor or not, and anybody does. They served 3,200 meals last year, in a city with a population of about 52,000.
Does anything like this exist anywhere else?
