Lyr Req: Child of the Engineer

could anyone please tell me if they remember an old railroadsong about an engineer who had to leave his sick child at home but when he was gonna ride by the house his wife was to hang a green light if things were okay and I believe a red light if not.

The song is best known by the title, "The Red and Green Signal Lights." It was written and copyrighted by Henry V. Neal and Gussie L. Davis in 1896 with the title "Just Set A Light."

I am searching for the lyrics and music for a song my dad sang to us girls as we were growing up. He was a railroad engineer back in the late 1940's to early 1950's. The song was " She Was a Baby Daughter of a Railroad Engineer." That was the first line. I don't know the title.
