find someone who sings it, get them to go onto paltalk and use a tape recorder....

Well, given that folk isn't wildly popular, its appearance on peer-to-peer is spotty at best... but I've found some good stuff on Morpheus...

Ouside of that... I haven't had much better luck...

Without spending 30 dollars for a CD with only one song that I want on it, I'm searching all over for some recorded versions of these songs. I have tried the library, flea market LP sales, Gnutella online network, even the 'rec.music.folk' newsgroup but to no avail. Does anyone know of a way I can 'access' individual songs without the expense of the entire box set or rare expensive vinyl disk? Is there some swap newsgroup or FTP site? A 'folkster' software engine?

Any constructive help will be greatly appreciated.
