Subject: Auction Information? Mooman? Max?
From: JohnL
Date: 30 Nov 01 - 05:44 AM

I was sucessful in the Nic Jones album auctions, but have had no response to emails sent to Mooman or Max regarding what happens next. Can anyone advise me as to what normally happens with auctions?

Hi, John - the winner and seller usually contact each other by personal message and arrange for payment and shipment. I e-mailed Mooman and asked him to contact you by personal message. Let me know if a week goes by and you have problems getting hold of him.
Thanks.

I was very disappointed at the outcome of my successful auction bid.
I would love to know what happened....

Hi JohnL and Joe O.
I know that Mooman has been away, presumably on business recently. Maybe that explains the silence?!
Regards Ralphie

Sorcha, I spoke with Jezabel about two weeks ago and she said that she had sent off a second batch of Yorkshire Tea to the three who bidded higest in the auction. You don't think it got lost in Boston do you? It has happened before you know. Cheers Bill

I wanted to bid, but the auction closed during mudcat's "lost weekend"

Not very fair, really

I 'spose the postal inspectors are looking at Yorkshire tea under high powered microscopes right now, trying to decide if it causes any deadly reactions...*sigh*

Be warned, all you bookaholics and vinyl freaks, the 'Fox has been getting stuff together for the auction. That's right, I've been going through my now-less-than ten thousand books and my about fifteen feet of records, and after Christmas it's going on the Mudcat Auction, a bit at a time. Books by Woody Guthrie, hymnals, just plain strange albums, and stuff God hasn't thought about for a week, as my grandmother used to say. Mwahaha.

Recently, I've put an item in the auction and made the "Mudcut" 70%...

How does payment work in such cases? Does the winning bidder pay the total to Max, and Max sends me a check for 30% of that?

Or does the winner send one check to me, and another to Max?

A couple of people had asked, and I'd been assuming that the first scenerio is correct. But then I thought it best not to assume anything, and ask...

Thanks in advance!

I told her what ever she likes. Me, I collect all the money and then send Max his share. Easier for me, Max and buyers. Doubt that Max has time to worry about fwding money.
