Subject: RE: Lyr/Chords Req: Tomorrow Never Comes (Jim Nabors) From: EBarnacle Date: 16 Aug 17 - 10:00 PM I was hoping it was the version sung by Melina Mercouri. Let's forget about Domani . . . |
Subject: Lyr Add: TOMORROW NEVER COMES (Ernest Tubb) From: Jim Dixon Date: 15 Aug 17 - 04:56 PM Originally, it was a western swing tune. TOMORROW NEVER COMES Written by Ernest Tubb and Johnny Bond As recorded by Ernest Tubb, 1945. 1. Oh, you tell me that you love me. Yes, you tell me that you care, That tomorrow we'll be married, But tomorrow's never there. Oh— CHORUS: Tomorrow never comes. No, tomorrow never comes. Now you tell me that you love me, But tomorrow never comes. 2. Many weeks now have I waited. Many long nights have I cried, Just to see that happy morning When I'd have you by my side. But—CHORUS 3. So tomorrow I'll be leavin'. Yes, tomorrow I'll be gone. Oh, tomorrow you'll be weepin', But tomorrow never comes. Oh—CHORUS [Covered by Glen Campbell in 1965, Slim Whitman in 1970, Lynn Anderson in 1970, Jim Nabors in 1970.] |

Subject: Many Long Nights,or Tommorow Never Comes From: GUEST,Andrew Date: 30 Nov 01 - 06:44 PM I'm looking for the theme song of the Jim Nabors Hour TV show from perhaps 20 years ago, maybe more. It's a beautiful song. He sang part of it at the opening of the show and part at the closing. Just one show he sang the whole thing. I'll need both the tune and lyrics (chords would be nice too), as I'm not sure I'm remembering the whole tune, nor am I sure of the title. Here are the lyrics I remember: Many Long nights have I waited Many long nights have I tried Just to reach this happy moment When I have you right by my side Then tomorrow, it never never comes No tomorrow never comes When I'll have you here beside me No tomorrow, it never comes Oh you tell me that you love me Yes you tell me that you care That tomorrow we'll be married But tomorrow never comes No tomorrow, it never never . . . Thanks, Andrew |
