Subject: Good Teachers From: tandrink Date: 04 Dec 01 - 05:06 PM I just discovered this site recently and have really enjoyed reading through some of the previous threads. I was hoping someone could recommend (or point me in the direction) of a good instructor. Here's what I'm looking for: 1) They give instruction in New York City, preferably, Brooklyn 2) Someone to advance my knowledge of country blues guitar. Currently I am what I would term an advanced beginner (can make my way through a 12 bar idea with fills/turnarounds utilizing an alternating bass method). I'm hoping that someone can take me to the next level. So far I am self taught (although I would definitely consider Robert Johnson, Blind Lemon, Mississippi John, etc. as my teachers). 3) Hopefully they won't charge an arm and a leg for lessons. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
