Subject: Where can I see you all play? From: Maxine Date: 06 Dec 01 - 07:03 AM Hi everyone - I live in Surrey UK and I know some of you obviously live quite away from me! However, there must be someone out there, reasonably locally to me, who plays in the pubs and folk clubs. It would be great to come and see you play, and put a face to some familiar names.... anyone? I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed! |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Morticia Date: 06 Dec 01 - 07:49 AM Well, I live just on the border between Surrey and Hants.I'd be glad to give you info on local clubs, where other catters are ( mostly London) etc. PM me for further thrilling installments *BG* |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Morticia Date: 06 Dec 01 - 07:50 AM By the way, I meant other catters close to Surrey, not to imply that all other catters live in London. |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Maxine Date: 06 Dec 01 - 08:08 AM Thanks Morticia I would love some further 'thrilling installments', but how do I go about PMing you? Perhaps I'm a bit thick, but nothing seems to tell me on the help desk. Perhaps you or someone else, could let me know....cheers |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Morticia Date: 06 Dec 01 - 08:22 AM If you up go to personal pages( top line under Mudcat Cafe)..type my name in the search box and hey presto! a message box appears... |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Allan C. Date: 06 Dec 01 - 08:34 AM Let's try that again, Mort. What she would need to do is to scroll through the options in the Quick Links box near the top of this page. Then she should select "Send A Personal Message". Next she should type in your Mudcat name. Your name will then appear in blue. Clicking on that will open the form with which she can send a message. (This sounds more complicated than it actually is.) |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Maxine Date: 06 Dec 01 - 08:41 AM Thanks a lot - I've got the hang of it now! |

Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: The_one_and_only_Dai Date: 06 Dec 01 - 08:48 AM Of course, the obvious place to see people play would, needless to say, be at the annual gathering in February :-) |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: GUEST Date: 06 Dec 01 - 09:06 AM Annual: Recurring once every year You've not even had one yet, Dai! |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: The_one_and_only_Dai Date: 06 Dec 01 - 09:10 AM Of course. What I meant to say was, *ahem*: Of course, the obvious place to see people play would, needless to say, be at the gathering which is intended to be a regular occurrence, and given the success of llanstock may be even more frequent than annual, when it gets going on a regular footing, in February :-) |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: GUEST Date: 06 Dec 01 - 09:14 AM That's better :-) |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Maxine Date: 06 Dec 01 - 09:19 AM Just read the annual gathering thread. Beer soaked pant flinging, inflatable (easy!) pirahnas, skinny dipping, it all sounds fabulous but where can I see you 'perform' (probably not a wise choice of words!) |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Bert Date: 06 Dec 01 - 11:24 AM Hey Mortiluv, just where are you on that border? I used to live in Grayshot. |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Rick Fielding Date: 06 Dec 01 - 12:04 PM Well I'll be touring the UK next September, so perhaps I'll get to meet you. I'll post the itinerary in Mudcat. Cheers Rick |
Subject: RE: Where can I see you all play? From: Gervase Date: 06 Dec 01 - 12:05 PM "perform"? With some of the reprobates in these 'ere parts, the best place to see 'em perform is through the bottom of a glass in, say, the Middle Bar of the Anchor at Sidmouth or the barn at the Three Horseshoes at Towersey. Or at Whitby, Bedworth, Banbury or any other festival around. The 'Catters tend to be the more extrovert, noisy (and dare I say it) fun people in any gathering. |
