Subject: Teaching someone how to play banjo
From: Auxiris
Date: 12 Dec 01 - 10:58 AM

Hello, everyone. . . I have recently been asked by someone if I would teach them how to play clawhamer style banjo. I was going to turn them down, as I have never taught anyone before, but apparently there aren't even any other 5 string banjo players in the area, let alone banjo teachers! So, I have accepted the challenge of at least trying to teach someone how to play. Can any of you who already teach others how to play various instruments give me any tips on how to approach this heavy responsibility? Thanks ever so much!

cheers

Now, jes' hush mah mouth. I'm really sorry to have bothered anyone. If Joe Offer or his clever helpers are about anywhere, myabe they can just delete this repetitive thread and be done with it. Though, Guest, I think you might sign your name once in a while. . .

Oh dear, Ron

That 'joke' has been posted lots of times here before.

I won't bother listing all the threads where someone has been 'hilariously original' and posted it.

Never mind

What does a banjo player get on his IQ test?

Drool

That would depend a good deal on the banjo player in question.

You don't give enough information to give a considered answer

Q. How can you tell if the stage is level?

A. The banjo player drools out of both sides of his mouth.

As for 'GUEST', the only joke here is YOU. Lighten up!
