Of course, that's probably your worst nightmare...

'm a long way from the million-hits club, but I'm closing in on 10,000 plays on my MP3 site. Had a big blip in my stats on Dec 4, (without me doing anything) and a gradual slide down since then, but still higher than before.

My objective: break that 10,000 before the New Year!

Today's tally: 9,659 Total Plays to Date

But the hell with the numbers, what about the music?

Tune tips: ("The Electric Bill Cameron")

  • Jenny's Welcome To Charlie - kind of a Steeleye tribute
  • Music From the Glen - a Telecaster multi-track riot. Prohibited in some jurisdictions.
  • Gogama - rather Grismanesque mandola swing, once heard on Mudcat Radio.

All these are downloadable. Note, my CD Always Time For Anachronism has had a couple of tracks added and the price lowered.

Happy holidays.
Bill

A Link!

Now why didn't I think o that? No mystery why I don't get more hits I guess...

Funny what slips yer mind when you get to be over 45.

Thanks Kat and all.

And again, I say, "Politically correct non-judgmental egalitarian seasonal salutational concerns!" W-O

Willie, if I play the whole album, does it count for each song, or should I do individual songs to count for more?

Let's help out folks!

Hey, guess what!

I made it--to 10,010!!!! You guys are the greatest!!!

(you don't see that yet if you go to the site--there's a lag in posting the numbers on the home page, but my artist stats list has the 31st added in there.)

To answer your question, kat, supposedly they only count one play from a given computer (a unique IP I suppose) per day. To avoid, you know, cheating.

Now, to get some new songs up there. When I have some. Now that I've gotten over this meaningless, shallow but amusing diversion. Wish I didn't have to work for a living.

Kat, did you actually purchase the new version of the CD? I was gonna send you one...PM me your address

W-O

Thanks. I never checked out mp3's on line before. That was obviously a mistake. You're a good singer and an excellent writer and musician. Thanks again.

Just got the updated, added to CD by our own Willie-O and it is terrific, phoaks!! If you haven't bought it, do so! Excellent songs, well played and oh...I love Bill's voice!!

Can't sit still during Gogama; Music From the Glen is absolutely awesome...tricky fingers!! And, I LOVE the Rocky Road to Dublin! There is not a track on this that I don't really enjoy.

I am proud to add this to my Mudcat Collection, which is fast overtaking anything else I've got!

Well done, Bill and thank you!!!

kat

Forgot to say how much I love the lively Schottische and Three Part Jig as well as the last cut, The Peat Fire Flame. And, my cats love all of it, there is one in particular who comes running when he hears this CD!
