Subject: Album was titled Irish To The Core? From: Mrrzy Date: 14 Dec 01 - 02:03 PM Songs included The Winds Are Singing Freedom, Rockall (whence the title), Irish Soldier Boy, and Botany Bay; someone I knew had this in the mid- or early 70's. Who were the artists? I suspect the Wolfe Tones but can't find it listed on the Net under them anywhere. Is it still "in print" or whatever the moral equivalent is? DOES ANYBODY HAVE MY BRAIN? Thanks, all. |

Subject: RE: Album was titled Irish To The Core? From: Amos Date: 14 Dec 01 - 09:11 PM It was the Wolfe Tones, and your brain is currently being used as part of a government experiment. It will be returned in good condition soon. It was need to compensate for an abnormally low distribution amongst members of the Senate. Other cuts included Kevin Barry, the Unicorn, The Black Velvet Band, The Irish Brigade, and I think Donal' Where's Yer Troosers, if memory serves. |

Subject: RE: Album was titled Irish To The Core? From: Jimmy C Date: 15 Dec 01 - 01:27 AM It was the Wolfe Tones for sure. I have the album somewhere, I will check it out when I have a little time. I think the cover showed them carrying a boat. |
