"Time" was indeed written by Michael Merchant, but not copyrighted in 1959. Michael wrote the song, that for many defines an era, as a 17 year old high school student in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1963.

There is a Pozo-Seco Singers CD available on the Collectors Choice Music label. I suppose I should be ashamed of myself for liking them, but they bring back good memories of my college years.

That's the one! Thanks!

I was just about to post my transcription with blanks for the words I couldn't get. You saved me the time, though in the interest of having it here I'll post it anyway. I'd still like to know who wrote it.

Time
author?

Some people run, some people crawl,
Some people don't even move at all
Some roads lead forward, some roads lead back
Some roads are bathed in light, some wrapped in tearful black

CHORUS: Time, oh time, where did you go?
Time, oh good, good time, where did you go?

Some people never get, some never give
Some people never die and some never live
Some folks treat me mean, some folks treat me kind
Most folks just go their way, don't pay me any mind

CHORUS

Sometimes I'm satisfied, sometimes I'm not
Sometimes my face is cold, sometimes it's hot
Sunset I laugh, sunrise I cry
At midnight I'm in between and wondering why

CHORUS X 2

This one?

The page is a bit of a mess, but no mention of a diminished chord

I'm really sorry to have to come to the well for a song I should be able to find in the files.....I just don't seem to know the official name and all the ones I've tried coome up dry.

While I've got you here though....guitar players....do you play a diminished between the G and the Am each time you make the change or just the second time (in the verse)? I'm working from a scratchy Pozo Seco Singers album here!

Thanks,
John
