I know I've been absent of late. (Some one sent me a damned virus: Not a 'catter) So I've been buggering around with the computer. Anyway, if I perchance neglect to say so, Happy Holidays to all of you. And a special hello to MMario, wysiwyg, Aine, JedMarum McGrath of Harlow and all of my friends here. Hesperis, let me know how the story is comming! Kindest regards, Neil

Wondered where your wisdom was. Nollaig shona.

There have been a few other regulars absent as of late, although I wouldn't mention any names after my extended leave, if only for warding off bad news.

Okay... just a couple... wdyat12 ? Naemanson ? Metchosin ? Spaw ? Yeah, Spaw... some imposter has been posting as Spaw lately. The imposter's posts have been really mellow and hardly maloderous... not nearly "Spaw". Maybe it's the season to be jolly but the "old" Spaw was what made me jolly.

Can o" worms ? Hopefully.

Happy Holidays to you all.

Don't worry about Naemanson, gnu. He's busy having a great life. More power to him, too.

I didn't mention mousethief because I think he's still at the Mudcat Hoser Tavern sleeping off the TTB... ?

Come to think of it, I can name at least a half dozen others from whom I haven't seen any, or, at least, only a few, posts since my return. Perhaps Irish sergeant is not the only one who has been attacked ? Pray tell, to what virus did you succumb ?

Well, he won the lottery, five million dollars, and he invested it in the companies that make Marmite and Vegemite. Now that Spaw is addicted to both products, the value of Naemanson's stock has skyrocketed.

He's now living off of the dividends in a luxuriously appointed tree house on a remote and pristine little island in the US Virgin Islands. He commutes to and from his Roll & Go gigs in Maine in his private jet.

I understand he's surrounded with great music almost all the time, and the sessions they hold on the jet are becoming the stuff of legends. And I hear the food is great, too.

Gnu and all: It was JS Seeker virus and although I got rid of it it still buggerd up my start up and it isn't right yet. As I may have told you earlier, I'm in the middle of hopefully getting a book deal and doing the Holiday thing. I've been to Montgomery County MD a happy (Insert politically correct statement) Holiday. I'll let you insert your own as I haven't been politcally correct since about 1865 or so. I willl be back on the boards a little more frequently (I promise.) Kindest regards, Neil

I've been away 'cause I've been... away! From the computer, that is; getting ready for the holidays and generally relaxing (catchin' up on my reading, too!).

Happy holidays to you all here at Mudcat, whichever holidays you celebrate! And thanks, once again, for having made me feel so welcome here when I started posting late last spring! Good will and good fortune to everyone here in the new year!!!

Sharon

From the Internet...

A Lawyer's Christmas Greeting

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, our best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practised within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all . . . and a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 1999, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "AMERICA" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee.

By accepting this greeting, you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for her/himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law. It is also revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher.

This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

The wishee further agrees to hold harmless and indemnify the wisher, along with its heirs, assigns, officers, directors, shareholders...
