Subject: RE: Lyr Req: SWANS OF SWANSEA From: cetmst Date: 09 Feb 05 - 09:58 PM Still searching. I have part of the song on a cassette transcribed from some radio program and have difficulty making out some of the words: -------within, within, we look for the swan within. All of the swans of Swansea began as a feathery lump, Waffleing (?) down to the river to swim, to walk and to jump(?). All of the swans of Swansea were burst from an egg in Spring, All of swans of Swansea and this is the song that they sing. Our souls were born for flight, yet our dream as we begin What is the thing that makes us soar (?) We look for the swan within, within, we look for the swan within. All of the swans of Swansea were feathered by feathery bone (?) Finally given new plumage alive with the light of the morn (moon?) All of the swans of Swansea were lifted aloft to wing All of the swans of Swansea have taught themselves to sing Our souls were born for slight, yet our dream as we begin What is the thing that makes us soar We look for the swan within, within, we look for the swan within. Lovely female singer whose voice I don't recognize Would appreciate name of song, writer, singer and correct lyrics |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: SWANS OF SWANSEA From: pavane Date: 20 Dec 01 - 07:03 AM Refresh - living in the area, I would also be interested. PS The name of Swansea is not believed to be derived from Swan, but from Sven or Sweyn Forkbeard (Sweyn's Ey) |
