I found the Whitehouse Blues on the DB,
but when I clicked here to play it,
I got a "URL not found message".
I've got the AskSam blues

Subject: Tune Add: WHITE HOUSE BLUES
From: Joe Offer
Date: 02 Mar 98 - 01:36 AM

Hi, Murray. Something's rotten in Denmark, or something. the link you tried spelled the name of the MIDI file wrong, and then the other version of the song linked to a MIDI that supposedly had a bad file format. So, here's the tune. Hope you've figured out ABC or MIDITXT.

Some apologies are in order. The friend who translates tunes from the original SongWright to MIDI has been ill, and hasn't delivered the MIDIs for the new additions to the Oct 97 edition of the DT. Whe had to make a choice between posting the October 97 version in something like a timely fashon (but with some tunes missing) or waiting an indeterminate amount of time for the whole package.

We're working on remedying the situation. (If you download your own copy, you'll get all the tunes.)

Thanks Joe,

I have been down south in sunny Tasmania for the month of Feb and so I haven't gotten around to trying to get Alan's programs ported to my platform. However, I am able to handle abc files.

Dick,

I didn't really mean my message as a complaint. I thought making a public posting would let you know it wasn't there while at the same time I hoped that some kind soul like Joe would provide the tune or tell me where to get it :)

Murray

By the way Joe, how did you produce the MIDI and the abc files that you supplied above?

Murray
