Subject: Celtic Connections question

Does anyone know if the Glasgow festival held in January has a website? There is limited information at the Royal Concert Hall website, but I'm looking for more information on the artists scheduled to perform.

Can anyone help, please?

Errr... nice try but no cigar, Sorcha (That's about last year's Celtic Connections) :-)
Guest, the info at the GRCH site seemed pretty extensive if you can put up with the interminably slow scroll rate... what did you want to know?

I was talking to someone from Celtic Colours the other night, and no, they had only just finalized the schedule. You'll probably be seeing information come out within the next week or so. Just be patient.

Actually, I was looking for a website about the event itself, not the Tourist Board or GRCH sites. I wanted to give a website to a friend who is planning a trip for around that time.

I dunno, was it too much to expect that after so many years of this successful festival being in business, that the festival might have their own website?

Did you click on the News icon at the concert hall site? I has dates and some artists for 2002.

I think it's because they are the hosts and ticket agents for Celtic Connections.

The current brochure lists only the Concert Hall web site and phone numbers. The list is fairly extensive so best phone 0141 353 8000 or try www.grch.com and have them send a brochure out, although any artists not in "the in croud" don't get much,if any, mention at all. Where does your friend live? I live twenty miles out of Glasgow but other than possibly, La Bottine Souriante and Alasdair Frasier I don't think I will be going to the huge expense of being there. cheers
