Does anyone out there know what ever happened to Ray Materick? His commerical hit was " linda Put the Coffee On". He produced about 5 A/P's. This fellow in my books was a very accomplished writer and I place him right up there with John Prine, Tom Waits, and yes even a little close to Dylan. His albums Neon Rain, Best Friend Overnight and Midnight Matinee give great indication how well this artist could write and arrange musice. Then Boom, gone. Where is he ?????

Hi Beer. Saw him not too long ago. (think it was at the Eaglewood Festival) I believe he still lives in Hamilton Ontario, which makes us almost neighbours. Still a strong writer. Maybe someone has his e-mail...I'm sure he'd appreciate your good words.

Rick,

Didn't you have him on your show not long ago. I believe he played at Hugh's Room recently. There was a nice article in one of the papers, I believe the Globe. If memory serves me correctly it said that he is still in the Hamilton area and is playing a limited schedule.
