Hello, can anyone offer suggestions on using a computer for recording music. I'm not quite sure what questions to ask, but I suppose the biggy is can a computer be used as a multi track mixer. Any info would be really helpfull.

There have been some discussions before, the only difference I would say is, if your looking for multi tracking software, try cooledit.
