Has anyone else been able to access Tripod in the past few days? I cannot get my site to open, nor just www.tripod.com. Wondering if I missed a closure announcement or something?

just tried www.tripod.com it redirects me to www.tripod.lycos.com but that opens OK. What is your page?

Thanks. I've been trying to go in, either wiht the bookmark for my site, which is http://katsagewalker.tripod.com/mudcatphotos/index.html

and, I've tried just www.tripod.com

I'll try through lycos. Got a piccie of a weird Gibson guitar I want to put up to see what some of you more knowledgeable types can make of it.:-)

Would one of you please post a clickie for what you are able to get into? I just tried the lycos one and got a "page cannot be displayed" error. I am copying and pasting and it makes no sense. I don't seem to be having any trouble getting around to any other sites, including bookmarked ones.

I too often have difficulty accessing Tripod. It is quite frustrating. However, today I am having no trouble.

Sorcha, I can edit, etc. if I can just get in there! **BG** I did get the guitar photos up at another site. See the "What kind of Gibson is THIS?" thread. Looks as though I found a circa 1930-40's laptop steel!

khandu, I've had trouble before, too, but never for this long; it's been several days now.

I did get into Lycos, tried their links and they didn't work, either. All of their other links worked. It si really strange. I sent them a message.

I've dumped all cookies, all temp. files, etc. I guess I'll try it again, tomorrow.

Phew! At least I don't have to be paranoid and think it's only me been banned from the site!*grin*

Just found a corporate number for Lycos and spoke to a woman there who said they were aware there is a problem with certain people and their servers not being able to get into tripod.com. They are working on it; should be sending me an email this afternoon with more info.
