Subject: Looking for sound files From: Grant O'Neil Date: 10 Mar 98 - 12:25 AM My request is indirectly related to folk music. I have created a website for Scouting songs on which I want to include sound files for as many songs as possible. Many of these songs use tunes from traditional folk songs, and rather than re-invent the wheel I am hoping someone may have MIDI files of these tunes that they could send me. The particular tunes I am chasing are "Kum Ba Yah", "London's Burning", "O Tannenbaum", "The Gand Old Duke of York", "The Old Grey Mare", "Camptown Races", "Row Row Row Your Boat", "Frer Jacques", "Battle Hymn of the Republic", "The Road to Gundagai", "When Johnny Comes Marching Home", "God Bless America", "On Top of Old Smoky", "Auld Lang Syne", "On Ilkla Moor Bacht 'at", and "William Tell Overture". If anyone can send me a MIDI version of any of these tunes, or tell me where I might find one to download, I would greatly appreciate it. For those interested in seeing what I intend to do with them, take a look at my scouting songbook at http://www.iinet.net.au/~oneilg/scouts/songs/songbook.html |
