Subject: Emergence of A New Irish Rebel Song...
From: David

As some of you may be aware of, in recent past there was the escape of IRA volunteer, Liam Averill, from prison, who, during a christmas party for the POWs dressed as a woman, and managed to get smuggled out on the bus. Humor being the most potent of the ingrediants... This, to me, has all the makings of a good Rebel tune, and I was wondering if anyone knew if one had yet been written. If I had to guess, I would say the first ones to do it would be the Wolfe Tones, who wrote "The Helicopter Song" after the famous lifting of 3 provos from a prison yard by a helicopter. Anyone know of a song about this incident yet?
