And then there is this one. Bush says his main job as president is to fight the war on terrorism, despite the fact that most everybody has forgotten about it. We've forgotten about it, even though it is about the only story on the Corporate Government's Nightly News (because it is all the White House is willing to talk about).

Now, Dubya wants y'all to know his administration is dutifully doing nothing about Energy Wars and Enron because that is the right thing to do so's Dubya and Chainy's boys can finish loading the money into the trucks before they get around to investigatin' or turnin' over them secret public policy documents of theirs.

But those terrorists--now THEY are America's true enemies, not those men behind the Wall Street curtain! So buy low, sell high, and make your soft money donations today while you can still buy your political influence at these bargain basement prices!

And BTW, Our Corporate Government needs a little more money to take over the global economy--OOPS!--nah, I mean to fight that war on terrorism all over the world. You know, those terrorists demonstrating against all the world's Corporate Governments wherever and whenever their G7nesses decide to meet. Which is mostly in secret in remote encampments where demo-cratic riff raff can't be seen making a scene out of the obscene.

Or now that I think about it--ask him how much it will cost America to conquer the world in our War on Terrorism. Or how much Dubya's presidency cost his daddy. Or how much a Supreme Court justice costs to buy the election. Or what the cost will be to the Bush administration for doing nothing about Enron. ;-)

Once again, as with Nixon, we have chosen (but never elected) a moron to be president. Social Security, Medicaid --- the programs for the so very many poor and poweless, are in real danger as we multiply the billions for this exceptioanlly VAGUE and open ended commitment that the war on terrorism is --- and can be into the far future.

It has long been the strategy of the U.S. Government and the millitary-industrial complex to provide U.S. citizens with someone to attract our attention, to loathe and revile, knowing it will keep us distracted while they pick our pockets and tear down anything that might provide political or economic power to the great majority.

I don't mean to imply that Cheney or Shrub or any of Cheney's other henchmen had anything to do with creating the current crisis, but it does seem to be a convenient vehicle for restoring cold war level funding back to the real owners of government.

Well, don't double mine, and in fact, stop building bombs for murdering innocent civilians, and give the money to something worthy of human endeavor, rather than hate and fearmongering for profit.
