Came across your posting while looking for lyrics to a Rolf Harris song, something like this:
Strange as it seems, I met in my dreams NicO'Tine and AlK. Hol.
I said to Al, "Uh, Al, be a pal, tell what do you really think?"
He said "Smoking's kid stuff, pour yourself a drink."
"I took a drink, and quick as a wink..."
This song was on the LP titled "Sun Arise," with "Tie Me Kangaroo Down" as most famous cut.

I had this on a 45 when I was a child!!!!
Always said some day i would find a copy of it ...
Now that I have the lyrics and and artist maybe I can find the recording
I thought for sure people would say I imagined the song!

Thought I'd remembered the tune the other day, but was a false alarm!! Was humming 'have you got a light boy' or some such vernacular dialect *grin*
