We'll be opening up the Mudcat Song Circle on Paltalk at 1 PM Eastern Time (Mudcat time). It usually runs for about 4 hours so come on in and enjoy the tunes, play a few, sing, and enjoy the afternoon with your fellow catters!

Steve

I'll be around, but I'm fighting a cold, so I might not sing.

(no comments from the peanut gallery!)

I just left after nearly 8 hours and it was still going strong - Some very fine musicians, beautiful music, and great comaradery! Thanks - Cyder, Liz, Jock, Mary in Kentucky and Mary in Atlanta for help with the admin chores. We only had one knothead and we bumped him rather quickly. Met some new folks - Wow - What a good time.

If you aren't part of this you really need to get in as it is so much fun. Good Night all -

Steve

So Norton, what flavor of knothead didja get--flamer, insistent metalhead, etc.?

We were unfortunately able to stick around to sing only two songs, and then had to take off for a Susan Osborn concert--if she's ever in your neck of the woods, do yourself a favor and go see her. Absolutely incredible voice. Anyway, our two were:

Life Is Like A Mountain Railway
Lord of the Dance

Much good stuff from what we heard. Cyder gets noises out of his antennaflute that I can't even imagine how he's doing them. And it was neat to have some (very good) nonCatters wander in.

Susan, unfortunately there's really no such thing as a link to a Paltalk room, unless I'm mistaken, unlike Hearme rooms. Paltalk isn't part of the Web, it's its own thing, with computers running the Paltalk client talking to eachother and the Paltalk servers. People need to just go to www.paltalk.com, download the client, create an identity, go to the Music rooms, select to Show Adult Rooms, and check to see if the Mudcat Song Circle is open. I suppose some sort of FAQ about this could be put up, but there's just no ready link.

Chris

Hi Chris - It was just a kid - I rod dotted him and then Mary in Atlanta and I chewed him out good with PMs - he didn't come back. We ended up with 30 - 40 different musicians (at one time we had 18 people in there) - hundreds of songs - I sang over 40 myself.

Cyder is unbelieveable!!

Susan - Chris is correct - there is no "link" available for this -

Steve
