Marcus, I have to drive from Camp Adams to Seattle on Sunday, March 20(?), and I will drive from Portland to Singtime Frolics either on Friday evening or Saturday or both.

If you think it might work to carpool with me, please PM me.

Genie

Here is Long Beach, (Wa)about 20 miles across the river from Astoria. Actually I just spent the money I had set aside on a new Lands End Jacket...I am sure I could carpool from Portland, and I could get back and forth to Astoria either Monday and Friday, but getting from Astoria to Portland and back is not all that easy...there is one bus a day and I think it is at the wrong time...I checked it out...something still could turn up..but it is unlikely. mg

MGarvey [I keep wanting to call you "Marcus!"], Where is "here," and have you considered carpooling all or part of the way?

I suspect there will be a few. I probably will not be able to make it...it is just to hard to get there from here without a car. But it should be a lot of fun. mg

Genie, GO, GO, GO! I went in 2000 with my daughter, and had a wonderful time. Of course, it was even better for me because I saw friends there I hadn't seen in ten years...kind of felt like Rip Van Winkle! Say hi for me. Maybe next year... Of course, I've been saying that about Camp Harmony, and RainyCamp, and Folklife, and Puget Sound Guitar Workshop, and Fiddle Tunes, and...

Aloha,
Mark

Great! That's only about an hour (at MOST) from Portland, even in the dark. Makes it more likely I'll be able to go.

45 minutes SE of Portland..Camp Adams, near Molalla..foothills of Oregon's Cascades. If I am thinking of this camp,a d not the previous location, it can be a little hard to find in the dark, but maybe not. So I would recommend getting there in daylight if possible.

No "where", but there is a "when". I'm not going.

it's like Rainycamp except wetter. Right on the Sandy River..deeper in the woods..the setting is actually a lot nicer than Rainycamp as far as the natural setting. I'll try to go. mg

Thanks for the link, Sorcha. I'm glad you posted it. I was hoping, though, that someone already knew where it was going to be, and I was wondering who, if anyone from Mudcat will be going.

The link doesn't seem to give a way of finding out more information except via "snail mail."

I also would like to hear from some folks who've been there.

Oops! I actually do know WHEN (March 21-24, I think).

Can someone who's been to it before tell me more about it? Is it like Rainy Camp, only drier ... Oh, wait, it's in Oregon... in March...

Anyway, are any of you Mudcatters going?

And where in Oregon is it gonna be?

Genie
