Yeah! You could be right.
There was something that sounded like I like my country music, with a touch of modern soul (.....) rock and roll still survives in the next verse just before tape ended, but I'm not really sure if those words were correct.
But that match R&R and survive, I would think that it is the song!

Actually, i think I was wrong there. Unless there are two songs by the same title, which may well be the case -- I found an MP3 of R&RS which says nothing about troubadours!

Bruce Johnston does a song called Rock and Roll Survivors of which one reviewers says "Johnston, like Randy Edelman, Tim Moore, and other quality songwriters from the era, has a pleasant voice, which is very effective on "Disney Girls." "Rock and Roll Survivors," with references to being a "dried out troubadour," is more like "C&W Survivor" ". So I assume that's the song. No lyrics around...

Who can tell me what song starts like:

It was done probably in the 70s, type of music singer-songwriter with a little flavour of country.

I had this piece on a old cassette-tape, but a little after that verse the band stopped. I never found out who sang the song...
