I have a few tracks on compilation albums of Little David Alexander. There's a shine on his performances that sets him way above run of the mill blues performers, but I can't find much info. Any help?

To make sure this thread isn't a complete waste of time, here's a lyric. I haven't included chords because the original is really an arrangement, and has to be learnt (in open D)to be true to the song and the performer.

STANDING BY A LAMPPOST Little David Alexander

I'm standing here by this lamppost with my mind in a different land I ain't got no home, woman got some other man

Some people just sing the blues just because they know the song But when you hear me singing I ain't goin' be here long

I can't stay here, just can't stay no place I go With a mind to ramble, never work no more

I wouldn't mind my mother, just wouldn't mind my dear old dad When I got sore and barefooted, best friends I ever had

When the rain is falling and the wind begin to blow It makes you feel lonesome when you got no place to go

I dreamed last night, thought the whole round world was mine I woke up this morning, didn't have one lousy dime

I gambled, well, I gambled, but I can't win no more Every once in a while, rent man knocks on my door

So I'm leaving here tonight if I have to ride the blinds Catch a freight train special, engineer lose no time

I'm sore and bare footed, and my last bell passed the door Declare, I've never been as this hard-luck before
